Title
Effect of UV on Algae Removal in Ozone Oxidation Process
조용현 Yong-hyun Cho
Abstract
In this study, we investigated the color and chl-a removal characteristics according to the contact time with the driving characteristics through the Lab-scale experiment using the AOP (ozone + UV) process integrated with UV for the removal of algae. The experimental device is composed of an ozone generator, a nano bubble generator, and an ozone contact tank. The ozone and UV lamp integrated discharge tube is equipped with a heavy-pressure UV lamp (254nm) inside the discharge tube, which enables ozone generation and UV irradiation simultaneously. As a UV integrated discharge tube, groundwater chl-a, the chromaticity removal performance was analyzed and the AOP system was optimized. In addition, the dissolution rate was increased using nanobubbles, the initial color of the inflow water before application to the ozone discharge tube was 21.4 to 24.0°, and the experiment was analyzed at intervals of 1 minute for 11 minutes. As a result of the experiment, as the contact time elapsed, the chromaticity removal rate increased while floating in the shape of a linear linear function. In addition, the removal rate of chl-a was 99% or more of high-concentration algae of 300 mg/m3 or more, and 358.9 mg/m3 birds showed water quality improvement effect at 0 to 2.1 mg/m3 after 11 minutes contact.
