In this study, magnetite-loess composites was used to reduce the use of aluminum in removing the phosphorus from the sewage. Magnetite was made by wet method, magnetite-loess composites that mixed the magnetite with loess at the ratio of 1:100, 1:50, 1:10(w/w) and were used for flocculant experiment. This composites are used as an flocculant to remove the phosphorus in the artificial wastewater. To deduct the optimum condition of the composites, the experiment was conducted by changing factors like a dosage, pH, agitating speed, agitating time. As a result, the composites composed ratio of 1:50 were able to remove the phosphorus to 99.18% in these conditions : injected amount of from 10 g, pH 5, agitating speed of 100 rpm, agitating time of 10 minutes. It is concentration of 0.04 mg/L (as P). |
