Abstract
Cathodic protection method is utilized in water pipeline to inhibit the corrosion, and in this type, there are sacrificial anode (SA) method and Impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) method. To research the anticorrosive effect by ICCP, the field measurement data of five regions were analyzed. The evaluation method that was used was modified ANSI, the analysis results showed that all the five regions have an intermediate degree of soil corrosion. To study the effect of the use of the ICCP method on the prevention of electrolysis corrosion, the P/S potential and inverse polarization data in the three regions were used. As a result of data analysis, It was confirmed that the central district completely responds to electrical interferences, but facilities operation about natural corrosion is being done most poorly. In the northern and southern district, the electrolysis corrosion prevention method that was being used was appropriate, but were found to have overdischarge; thus, it was confirmed that there are large changes in their potential distribution. To solve these problems comprehensively, it was determined that output of the electrical-protection facilities should be controled and the distances between the electrical-protection facilities should be made narrower about 2,000±500 m.
