Characteristics of the Water Treatment Using Composite Coating with Zeolite/TiO2 by the Thermal Processing

Abstract
This purpose of this study was to coat zeolite/TiO2 on the surface of material by heating its surface to be pasted with zeolite precursor and TiO2 solution, which would make pollutants adsorded by zeolite, and the adsorbed pollutants degraded by TiO2. Thus, this method make it possible to coat zeolite upon the same condition with TiO2, and it is also possible to coat simultaneously on the material with zeolite and TiO2, sequently and massively. Then, the zeolite/TiO2 coating can be completed by synthesizing zeolite and by fastening zeolite/TiO2 on the material surface. Prototypes, which were manufactured by the zeolite/TiO2 coating on the clay brick media to analyze its characteristics and the effect on coatings, were evaluated by the pollutant removal test in water. Adsorption by zeolite and photodegradation by TiO2 on the methylene blue, the zeolite/TiO2 coating enabled organics on the surface to be adsorbed and degraded fast and effectively.
