Abstract
This study was conducted to achieve the optimized system configuration for the improvement of existing wasterwater treatment. Full-scale plant used for this study consisted of anaerobic-anoxic-oxic (A20) process, final settling basin(FSB), disk-filter (DF), granular activated carbon (GAC) bed, and dissolved air flotation (DAF) processes. System configurations were A2O+FSB for mode I, A2O+FSB+DF`+GAC for mode 2, and A2O+FSB+DAF+DF for mode 3. Influent concentration were on average BOD 1.16.6mg/L, COD 50.3mg/L, SS 130.2mg/L, T-N 27.608mg/L, and T-P 3.562mg/L. As a results, the efficient system configuration was generally in the order of mode 3> mode 2> mode I. The configurations of all mode were effective on BOD, COD and SS removal, whereas the configurations of mode 2 and 3 were effective on nutrient removal.
