Simultaneously Treatment of CSOs and Urban Sewerage using Advanced Wastewater Treatment System

Abstract
The purpose of this study is a configuration of treatment system for the CSOs and urban sewerage. A new model system regarding the treatment of the CSOs runoff and urban sewage has been developed as the RSF-AWT respectively, which will be operated for the purpose of investigation of optimal operation condition and characteristics of the removal of the substrates through the operation of pilot plant. The RSF-AWT system reveals to promote high efficiency for treatment to be satisfied the water quality standard for the treated sewage effluents in the case of RSF effluents fed into at the aerobic reactor of AWT showing the average removal rates as 92.8 %, 90.8 %, 94.9 %, 45.0 % and 79.6 % for SS, CODMn, BOD, T-N and T-P respectively. Also, the sludge loading ratio shows to reduce three times less in the case of adopting optimal feeding point of RSF effluent than in the case of not adopting optimal feeding point of RSF effluent at bioreactor through the analytical result of the sludge loading in final sedimentation tank.
