Title
The Groundwater Characteristics Analysis Using the Hydrologic Response Simulation
최윤영 Yun Young Choi
Abstract
In order to interpret the underground water flow system, the numerical analysis on the distributions of the underground water heads as well as flowing course of the water at an analyzing area was carried out by GMS-MODFLOW. According to the outcomes, GMS-MODFLOW turned out to be highly applicable to analyze the underground water flow system. After the quantity at the analyzing area was investigated by NRCS and SWAT, the difference of the results between the two models did not appear to be great, but the result from SWAT was determined a bit closer to that of a previous research. Regarding the purification interpretation by GMS-MODFLOW, the relative measuring efficiency of the observed value and the measured underground water head was said to be within 3.90∼5.09. The greatest difference between the observed value and the measure was shown at P2 point while the smallest one was presented at P point. The underground water head potential distribution after 30 days of the concurrent pumping period at P point and P1 point was examined, and the results showed that the decline of the head at both P and P1 points observed to be different by approximately over 60% which was greater than when it was a single well. And, the underground water flow system around other wells was also determined to have a greater range of fluctuation when it was a single pumping. In addition, for the points from P2 to P4 with the monitoring wells, the change of the underground head according to the pumping quantity turned out to be greater by about 60~120% at the lower reaches than the upper reaches.
