Abstract |
The nitrogen removal process of the plants and pebbles purification system is considered to go through complex processes including denitrification by microorganisms, absorption by water plants and microorganisms, biodegradation by the bio-film, sand ammonia volatilization. At this point, the influx of sewage flows horizontally under the sewage wetland surface, the place near to the ground surface and the roots of water plants is in the aerobic condition, and the aggregate layer at the bottom of the roots maintains the anaerobic condition with an opening filled with sewage while aerobic and anaerobic conditions coexist, and nitrification and denitrification were conducted at the same time. In the matter of the nature-friendly plants and pebbles purification system facilities installation and maintenance of the sewer system, it is applied widely in terms of economy and the restoration of water-ecology. In addition, the level of small sewage treatment efficiency is excellent in that it would be adopted increasingly in terms of management of non-point pollutant source in the future. |
