Title
Influence of NH4+ Concentration on Hydrogen Production Using Anaerobic Acidogenesis
이용두 Lee Yong Du , 고인범 Go In Beom
Abstract
The stop of hydrogen production is known on the hydrogen production by anaerobic acidogenesis, and research is needed to this cause. This study considered influence of the NH₄^(+) concentration on hydrogen production. The batch and continuous experiments were conducted paying attention to NH₄^(+) concentration as cause of hydrogen production stop by anaerobic acidogenesis. The influence of ammonia on hydrogen production appeared notably in low NH₄^(+) concentration, and seldom appeared in high NH₄^(+) concentration. The bacterial metabolic pathway changed with the NH₄^(+) concentration in substrate, and it moved to the pathway which does not perform hydrogen production in low NH₄^(+) concentration.
Key Words
