A Study on the Dye Wastewater Treatment Using in the Ultrasonic Process

Abstract
This study was performed to investigate effects low-ultrasonic and high-ultrasonic factor and COD concentration variations and Color removal efficiency of ultrasonic treated dyeing wastewater. The experiments for optimal conditions to make removal efficiency higher in controlling ultrasonic irradiation time with dye wastewater and ultrasonic cavitation factor were carried out and applying dye wastewater was also performed. The results are as follows. The variation concentration of COD and Color removal efficiency with FeCl₂concentration was appeared to higher to the increased of FeCl₂ concentration. The higher removal efficiency of COD and Color was achieved with higher H₂O₂ concentration. The removal efficiency of COD with H₂O₂/FeCl₂ ratio seemed to be high. but H₂O₂FeCl₂ ratio of 0.4 was decreased. Color removal efficiency was increased the highest H₂O₂/FeC1₂ ratio. In case of applying to the dye wastewater from industrial complex, COD removal efficiency was 58% in low-ultrasonic and 68% in high-ultrasonic color removal efficiency was 95% respectively. Total nitrogen removal efficiency was 42% in low-ultrasonic and 48% high-ultrasonic. Ammonia removal efficiency was 82% in low-ultrasonic and 91 % in high-ultrasonic, In conclusion, the results of this research suggested that ultrasonic treatment can be effective for treatment of dyeing wastewater.
