Abstract
In these days, the study tendency of RO membrane desalination process is to operate high recovery rate by high pressure, evolution of the pre-treatment system and the energy saving system. This paper was application of RO membrane system as permeate volume is 0.3 ㎥/h. Theoretically ratio condition checked with operating pressure, recovery ration. Electric consumption calculated at the permeate flow. When it operated high recovery rate, to investigated energy saving effect and water quality as TDS(total dissolved solid), Cl^-. The result of this study, increased application pressure at 85 ㎏f/㎠ as recovery rate was proportional to increased 50 %. But over 85 ㎏f/㎠ not proportional increased recovery rate. its range was 50∼55 %. When application of high recovery rate(50 %) resulted that stable water quality and 30 % energy saving effect conventional recovery rate. So desalination system designed small.
