Title
Techniques for Evaluating and Assessing the Performance of Water Treatment Plants
김정현Jeong Hyun Kim
Abstract
This Paper presents techniques for evaluating and assessing the performance of existing water treatment plants. It also provides information from water utilities, who have significantly improved the performance of their water treatment plants in the recent years using a systematic self-assessment and evaluation approach such as CCP(Composite Correction Program). Many utilities serve more than 90 million people throughout the U.S. have signed and participated in the national Partnership for Safe Water, a joint program of the U.S.EPA and AWWA(American Water Works Association). Water utilities entered into a partnership to voluntarily adopt operational and administrative treatment practices to improve plant performance based on CCP. And many utilities including those with aging structures, have been able to simultaneously optimize treatment processes with the existing resources or with just small increases in their budgets.
