The Leachate Treatment by TiO2/Photocatalytic Oxidation on the Landfill

Abstract
As a measure of purifying landfill leachate after biological treatment, UV/TiO₂/H₂O₂ system wish proper pretreatment was investigated. Newly applied Air Stripping could very effectively get rid of MH₃-N by 94% in pH 11. Numurous tests verified that the optimum amount of H2O2 input is 500 ppm in pH 3.5. Total cost by combined method of UV/TiO₂/H₂O₂ and Biological treatment is ￦4500∼5000 per ton, which is economically acceptable considering the quality of treated water.
