Title
A Analyses of Operating Conditions of Electrodialysis Process on Ion Matters Removal from Effluent of Advanced Leachate Treatment
현길수Kil Soo Hyun
Abstract
The objective of this research was to evaluate the characteristics of electrodialysis(ED) process on desalination of the effluent of advanced leachate treatment, which consisted of AO process, trickling filter, coagulation-sedimentation process, sand filter and GAC beds. As a results of this researches, the removal efficiencies of the pretreatment with coagulation-sedimentation averaged more than 95% for Ca^2+ and 77% for Si0_2. This indicates the pretreatment is necessary for maximizing the efficiency of ED membrane. Total dissolved solids(TDS) and ions removals by ED process averaged 95%, which indicates that it was considerably effective in separating TDS from the leachate. Optimal current voltage of the membrane was 20V with less than 35 minutes of flux retention time and EC residual ratio (ECt/ECo) of 0.01. Desalination rate is Cl_desa = -602.68 t - 4117.3 (r^2=0.904) and correlation of chloride and EC can be described as Cl^- = 297.53EC - 103.49 (r^2=0.968).
