This study was investigated to complement nitrification in winter by using ASAM which put cilium media in a aerobic reactor and reaerobic reactor of ASA system which is already verified as advanced treatment process. Up to 90% of BOD, 86% of SS, 78% of T-N, 90% of NH_4^+-N were removed on average at a low temperature, which mean cilium media can maintain biomass with high concentration improving removal even short HRT as 6.28h. when Temperature was from 9.2℃ to 14.3℃, nitrification rate was from 0.469 to 1.306㎎NH_4^+-N/gMLVSS.hr. So equation of nitrification rate could express like K_n = 1.306·1.1922^(T-14.3) in the ASAM system and correlation coefficient(R^2) was 0.7515 in the ASAM system. Even though HRT of ASAM system was short than conventional advanced treatment process 1∼2h much, nitrification rate was improved as 1.039㎎NH_4-N/gMLVSS·hr in winter(at a 13℃) because of biomass with high concentration. Denirtification rate at a C/N value from 4.0 to 5.0, was from 0.8 to 1.4㎎NO_3-N/gMLVSS·hr, so the equation was revealed K_dn = 1.5074·L_n(C/N)-1.136. |
